Hygiene inspection
Food safety inspections for the hospitality industry, catering, healthcare institutions, retail and other industries.
Hygiene Inspection According to your Hygiene Code
Food safety is essential in every sector. Whether you operate in hospitality, healthcare, retail, or any other industry, ensuring the safety of your food is crucial. We support you in maintaining proper food safety, always in line with the guidelines applicable to your sector. During unannounced hygiene inspections, our inspectors assess the extent to which your organization complies with the hygiene code. With our practical recommendations, you can improve food safety. We also help you qualify for the Food Safety Quality Mark.
If no suitable hygiene code is available for your organization, we develop a tailored food safety system for you. This allows us to carry out a professional inspection regardless.
How do we conduct Hygiene Inspections?
If you engage us for a hygiene inspection, the process works as follows:
- We start with an on-site introduction. We take the time to understand your needs. Are you looking for regular inspections, or do you want to obtain a quality mark? We also determine how many audits are required and explain who we are and how we work.
- During this introductory visit, we immediately carry out a baseline assessment. What is the current situation? What are the areas for improvement? You can start working on these right away.
- After that, unannounced audits (the hygiene inspections) take place. In advance, we agree on the number of audits needed. This is often 4–6 audits per year. If you are aiming for a quality mark, this number may be higher.
- After each audit, you receive a detailed report. This gives you clear insight into the status of food safety within your organization. It also allows you to demonstrate your efforts to guests or clients, as well as to the Netherlands Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority (NVWA)
If you consistently meet the requirements and achieve strong results in our inspections, you may qualify for the Food Safety Quality Mark. One of the advantages is that fewer mandatory inspections from the NVWA will be required.
